About this drink:
These are a curiosity I picked up in Lavington, NSW. They're imported from Austria, and appear to be pretty commonplace around Safeway and Woolworths supermarkets. They receive bonus points for being the only energy drinks I've so far encountered where the label is an actual sticker adhered to the can, and not printed directly onto the can. Also, their bravery in directly knocking off "Red Bull" in their naming is probably worth applauding. If only the drinks weren't shite.
Appearance, aroma, argh?
To the eye: It's called "Black Cherry". It's dark and vaguely resembles cherry. So far, so good.
To the nose: It actually smells like cherry. Which would be a good sign, if cherry didn't smell like medicine.
To the mouth: More field notes:
Tastes like really bitter cherry medicine with aspirin-like texture
It's......crunchy. Hard to describe. There's an odd powdery texture to it that clings to your teeth afterwards. That said, it's by far the best of the three Blue Ox flavours I've been privy to. Which isn't saying much.
And a little while after: For some reason, I didn't add this information to these reviews.
When it gets warm: This review is older than this criteria. Use your imagination.
Overall: If you have a choice of Blue Ox (rather than, say, Blue Ox Russian Roulette), pick this one. And hold your nose.

If your pee looks like this, see a doctor.

The oxen are charging.

Dark and mysterious. Or something.
Cost: Not much. A couple of dollars, probably. I don't remember.
Tagline: "Real Power Energy Drink"
Manufacturer: Manufactured by Indrinks in Stockerau, Austria. Imported by Oscar Boda in Cherrybrook, NSW. I mention this, as "Oscar Boda" sounds like a good name for a creature from Star Wars.
Website: http://www.indrinks.com/ - Okay, so they have a surprisingly competent website. Also, my attention is brought to the fact that there is indeed a fourth flavour of Blue Ox. The fact the company has managed to formulate four possible examples of vile is quite impressive. Also, "Oxtails" appear to be cocktails in a can.
Daily dosage: "Not recommended for children, pregnant or lactating women, or individuals sensitive to caffeine." "Consume no more than 5 cans a day." Yes. Five. Five. FIVE. If you can consume one, you're a step ahead of anyone with a discerning palate.
Volume: Can; 250ml.
Ingredients: Taurine, Caffeine, Ginseng, Guarana.
Energy: 90 calories. (This is probably wrong.)
Caffeine: 31mg.
Taurine: 160mg.
